Gulliver's Cottage in Frinton-On-Sea

Overall, the accommodation was very good and located in an ideal location. Positive: Good location, not too far from the shopping area and beach; about a 10 minute walk. Great dog friendly area and dog friendly cafes on the high street with lots of shops to cater for all. Next door neighbours were very friendly. Good off-road parking space for a large car. Good enclosed garden, ideal for the dog. Good central heating which was a blessing as it was very cold outside! Overall, the accommodation was very good. Negative: More information about the TV would have been useful: there were 2 remotes, but only one seemed to work and no other equipment visible for the other one! Information about the dish-washer would have been useful. The dish washer was not working and gave an E09 code! Having goggled this it appears that the heater element is not working and would her to be replaced.

Lovely stay just slightly interrupted by erratic hot water. Positive: Gulliver’s Cottage was comfortable, warm and very well equipped. Negative: We had a problem with the hot water for the duration of our stay.

Enjoyed our stay in a comfortable house in a quiet location with well equipped kitchen & comfy beds Positive: Self catering. Location quiet. Beds very comfortable although you have to crawl into the bunk beds as there is a wall both sides. Fun for children but a bit trickier for someone of my age (71). We were left 2 bottles of milk & a packet of biscuits which were much appreciated. The kitchen is well equipped & the house was clean. Negative: We had to empty lots of towels & sheets from the airing cupboard in order to get to the boiler to switch it to on for the hot water as instructed. There were a pair of knickers left in the cupboard in the back bedroom which was not a pleasant find. It would have been nice in the summerhouse if it was not covered in cobwebs etc.
