Positive: Very lovely little homely spot, with a great seaside vibe. Close to the town, comfortable and with easy parking and access.
Negative: The stairs might be a little steep for anyone with mobility issues.

Has potential but upgrades needed.
Positive: The Cottage was well equipped and the guide to the accommodation was comprehensive, The accommodation was quiet. I agree with another reviewer that the TV was impossible to use. There were no instructions. We could not get live TV in the middle of the World Cup. Luckily we were able to watch it elsewhere. The fans were good and kept the heat in the bedrooms manageable. The decorative things around the accommodation were sea themed and showed a lot of thought. We only slept in the accommodation so did not test any kitchen machinery so I cannot comment about their performance. To suggest you could have 7 people staying there seems inaccurate. There is a double bed in the main bedroom and double bunk beds in the second bedroom - access to the top bunk bed is (in my view) impossible as it is through a gap of about two feet and we had to pull the mattress off the bunk, rearrange the room and put it on the floor which was claustrophobic to say the least. The second bedroom is tiny and there is no possibility that four adults could stay in it. The sitting room is well planned but again there is no way we would have used the sofa beds as it would limit the movement of other guests around a tiny cottage. The owner was flexible on our departure time as there was no one booked in to follow us and we appreciated the extra time to pack up.
Negative: Access to the parking place is very tight with brick pillars making entrance and exit difficult. The bathroom door scrapes against the floor and needs to be sanded down. My family were very unhappy with the shower which was not up to modern standards (ie not a power shower). As someone else mentioned the rubbish left by previous occupants in the area outside the cottage smelt and we felt it should have been emptied in between visits by the host - even if it meant they had to take the rubbish away. I know it is hot but this is a rental and the hosts should aim for the highest standards and not rely on the council services only. The garden is scrappy and messy. The garden furniture is tired. There were no views. Personally I would not describe it as a 'cottage' as it is not pretty or charming. The back garden needed pruning and controlling. Looking out of the window I wanted a garden like their neighbours - with a long thin grass lawn and nice flower beds either side of the garden instead it was a pathway with wild plants. The pots at the front of the house had dead plants in them. The fence near the BBQ area in the back garden was broken and wobbly. The stairs are very steep and the upstairs hallway has three different flooring heights between the hall and the two bedrooms at the top of the stairs so concentration was required. There was milk & tea & coffee left for us but no Prosecco or snacks so that should come off the photos as it was not provided. I am sorry but I felt it represented poor value for money and we were relieved that we were not reliant on the accommodation provided but could go to family and friends during the day.

Positive: Gulliver’s Cottage is in a great location. We arrived by train and could easily walk to the property. Close to high street with a nice walk to the beach. Had everything we needed. The kids loved the double bunk beds.
